With a growing book of mining and reclamation clients, we’re looking to add a Reclamation, Closure & Environmental Surety Consultant to our team.
Role Overview:
This entrepreneurial, commission-based sales role is ideal for someone with deep ties to the mining industry—particularly sand and gravel operations—and experience working with (or inside) aggregates mining trade associations. You’ll lead efforts to grow the book of environmental business by identifying and serving clients who require reclamation bonds and other environmentally related surety products. As a client-facing producer, you’ll represent Parrot at mining, landfill, and other environmental conferences; visit job sites and clients; and be responsible for guiding them through bonding processes with our support.
You’ll receive dedicated onboarding, marketing support, and licensing expense coverage as you grow your book with Parrot Surety.
Key Responsibilities: (Sales)
🦜 Identify and nurture relationships with sand and gravel producers, aggregate operators, and environmental compliance professionals across the U.S.
🦜 Attend trade shows, association events, and client site visits to build your network.
🦜 Educate clients on reclamation bonding requirements and surety credit strategies.
🦜 Manage the sales process from prospecting through bond delivery with Parrot’s back-office and underwriting support.
🦜 Maintain relationships post-bond to support renewals and future bonding needs.
🦜 Collaborate with the Parrot underwriting team to structure competitive surety terms for your clients.
What We’re Looking For:
✔️ Industry Experience: Background in sand, gravel, aggregates, or mining operations.
✔️ Network: Existing relationships in national or regional mining associations strongly preferred.
✔️ Entrepreneurial Spirit: Motivated to build your own book of business within a supportive team.
✔️ Sales Experience: Proven success in consultative or relationship-based sales.
✔️ Remote-Ready: Self-starter who can work independently and travel when needed.
✔️ License Eligibility: You’ll be expected to obtain your P/C insurance license (Parrot covers costs) and must meet the licensing requirements (no felony convictions, etc.).
Compensation & Support:
💰 Commission-Based Draw: This is a producer role with long-term earning potential. A draw structure will be negotiated based on experience, network, and needs.
📚 License Reimbursement: We cover your P/C insurance licensing and provide ongoing education.
🧢 Conference Access: Parrot supports your attendance at key events.
🌍 Remote Flexibility: Work from anywhere, with travel to client sites and conferences as needed.

Physical Demands:
This role requires:
🟡 Frequent use of a computer and phone for virtual meetings, CRM updates, and client communication.
🟡 Regular travel (via air and ground) across the U.S. to attend industry conferences and meet with clients.
🟡 Occasional visits to active or closed mine sites, quarries, or other outdoor industrial locations, which may require walking on uneven terrain, wearing PPE, and exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
